Our Services
Individual Counselling
We work with children, adolescents and young adults with a range of presentations and neurotypes. Below is a list of common referrals we work with.
Parental involvement and input are highly valuable. Whether a parent remains in the session for the whole duration or attends at the beginning/ end is a family decision. Some children benefit from having a parent present to assist with discussing experiences and expressing emotions. Other children prefer to attend and speak with their psychologist 1:1 (too many adults can shift the balance in the room and cause a child to withdraw) with parents joining briefly for updates. The arrangement will be discussed in the initial assessment and is not fixed.

School Consultation and Liaison
Your child spends 30 hours a week at school. Your child's experience of school is crucial to their wellbeing and mental health. Where appropriate, we will liaise with the school to discuss an individualised learning plan that caters to their academic, social, emotional and sensory needs. It is common practice that we also liaise with any other specialists involved (speech therapists and occupational therapists) to devise a comprehensive support plan.
Presentations We Support
Every child is unique, and we celebrate the diversity in how children think, feel, and navigate the world. As a neuroaffirming practice, we focus on understanding and supporting your child’s individual needs, strengths, and challenges, helping them and your family to thrive. Here are some of the areas we can explore together:
Emotional Regulation and Wellbeing
-
Supporting children who experience big feelings like anxiety, frustration, or sadness.
-
Helping your child develop tools to understand and manage their emotions in a way that works for them.
Social Connection
-
Guiding children in building friendships, understanding social cues, and navigating interactions in ways that feel safe and meaningful.
-
Fostering confidence in social situations while respecting your child’s unique way of relating to others.
Learning Differences
-
Partnering with you and your child to understand how they learn best, whether they’re encountering challenges with focus, reading, writing, or problem-solving.
-
Celebrating your child’s strengths and finding ways to support their learning journey.
Attention and Executive Functioning
-
Exploring how your child approaches planning, organising, and sustaining attention.
-
Providing strategies informed by your child’s brain style to help them navigate daily tasks more effectively.
Sensory Processing and Emotional Integration
-
Helping children who may experience the world with heightened sensory awareness or sensitivities.
-
Creating approaches that respect their sensory needs while building regulation skills.
Neurodivergent Affirming Support
-
Working with children who identify as autistic, ADHD, or otherwise neurodivergent, with an emphasis on affirming their identity and celebrating their strengths.
-
Collaborating with families to create supportive environments that allow neurodivergent children to thrive.
Family and Relationship Dynamics
-
Strengthening family relationships by understanding each family member’s unique needs and perspectives.
-
Providing guidance on communication, boundaries, and fostering connection within the family system.
Assessments

As a parent, it can be hard to know when your child might benefit from an assessment. It can feel overwhelming to know where to start and what assessment you require.
Do any of these sound familiar?

-
Learning feels out of sync at home or school
-
Your child is overwhelmed, anxious, or struggling to focus
-
You wonder if ADHD, autism, or another neurodivergence might be a fit
-
You want to understand your child’s learning style, strengths, and areas for growth
If you’ve noticed challenges and differences in their friendships, social interactions, communication, learning, focus, and emotional regulation, or if teachers and specialists have raised concerns, an assessment can provide valuable insights into your child’s unique strengths and needs.
